Weekend Wrap-up

My weekend was pretty boring. I took my niece to the mall on Saturday, it was PACKED!!! I bought like 2 things from the hallmark store and did some window shopping. I rarely go to the mall so it's always interesting to see the new stuff. My niece took me to this store called Lush. They sell handmade cosmetics and other strange crap. It's a girls store, the most interesting thing I saw was a "Bath Bomb" which is a softball sized ball that you drop in the bathtub. It's supposed to fizzle and fill the room with smells. I don't even take baths but it looked interesting. I'd be scared It would make me smell like I bathed in a body Works store, but I'm sure women love it. Any way my niece is funny, she so indecisive. When your only uncle asks you what you want for christmas you really should be prepared with an answer. Well a better answer than $120 Ray Ban glasses. She's 16... 16!!! I feel old. I got my hair cut saturday morning and my barber mentioned my ever growing gray hair collection.

Sunday I chilled in the house. My house is a mess. I cleaned the basement some and cleaned my bathrooms. I need to do a ton of laundry and put away some already clean clothes. I hate cleaning. Did I ever mention that? I gathered a bunch of my daughters toys up and donated them. I do this every year before christmas. She'll get more and she will never miss what I got rid of. Anyway Happy Monday!!

do you take your daughter with you when you donate them or do you do it slick behind her back... it would be good if you took her... my mom made my lil brother volunteer at a soup kitchen last year... I think all kids should see first hand that some people dont have as much as they do

oh and grey hair on black men is sexy... now when/if you start balding... then we have a problem...lol; but a full head of grey hair is very distinguished

Grey hair beats a double chin any day of the week. LOL

Besides...I cosign what Eb's said [it looks pretty good on a black man]!!

I remember when my rayban aviators were like 89.00 ... recession usually leads to inflation - strangely enough....

I have a bunch of toys to donate to the school, my daughter cannot wait to get rid of them, but I am having a hard time...they are these little dollhouses from the Sweet Streets collection. I love them, but they have to go to make room for her new "stuff".

and I dont even want to get started on the house cleaning business. We havent even put up out tree yet!!! No clean house, no put up tree...they must not care.

So, did you get her the sunglasses? The Lush website is funny, seems like a cool store. How about a $120 hand bag. Yeeees, I'd love that if I was 16.

@Big O - Man 1 person can make a huge mess I know.

@Diva - That store does have a strong fragrance.. lol

@Eb - I took her once, I don't think she knew it was toys. It just looked like a trash bag to her. The Soup Kitchen is a good idea though.

@Eb (again) - remember you said that when I'm all gray and hitting on you.. lol

@Ms Behaving - lol.. I think I have double chin too.. lol

@Caspar - you can just put up a tree around the mess. Strangle enough my living room stays clean

@Hustla - Naw I didn't get the glasses, Uncle Dave is Broke..lol maybe for her b-day.

@Sexxy - I'll trade the maid and bath bomb for you in my stocking... lol

I have to hold my nose when I walk by those stores.. foo foo smelly stuff is only ok in limited quantities.

She really might notice if you took something she plays with a lot... otherwise, she probably won't.

I kept a lot of my son's stuff that is timeless... like legos and Barney :)

Malls are evil... malls at christmas time are evil times ten. i would call you crazy for going to the mall on Saturday but then I'd be crazy too. lol.

sounds like an overall low-key weekend. those can be the best.

So, my question to you is are you going to get her the glasses? I gotta say, I love my little nephew and Lord knows I have spent more than that amount on his ass this year, for Christmas, but the gift has to be practical in my mine. I don't care.

120? For real? Nah, you gotta be kidding me. My aviator kenneth coles were only 24.95. Geesh...

I am one who will clean the house from top to bottom but, leave the dishes sitting in the sink. I hate dishes.

I am packing up clothes to be donated.

I love the mall. And I love the mall during the holidays.

The commercialization of Christmas is just stank. I refuse to join the ranks. I visit the malls on a need-to only basis until after New Year's....then everything goes on sale and I do my shopping.

Cleaning...you'll be happy to know that I cleaned my kitchen, dining room, bathroom and living room....and it only took me 2 weeks to do it, lol. You know I've been studying.

Needless to say, I bought paper plates cuz I am SO over doing dishes.

Super Dave they're shades man! Worth the money.

I have a pair of Grapevine Oakleys and I LOVE them!!!

I think it's awesome that you donate your baby's toys. Giving is good.
